C-Peptide (Connecting Peptides)
When the blood glucose level increase over 5 mmol / l in the blood the beta-cells increase the production of Insulin and C-peptide and the alpha-cells in the pancreases remain quiet and hold on Glucagon production.
When the blood glucose level fall under 4 mmol / l in the blood the alpha-cells become active and deliver Glucagon to the blood stream and stored glycogen in the liver and glucose are released into the blood stream.
