What the kidneys do?
The kidneys makes hormone and the two most important hormones are erythropoietin and rennin. The hormone erythropoietin instructs the bone marrow tomake more red blood cells and this is regulated when the kidneys have decreaseamount of oxygen.
The hormone Renin is produced by the kidneys when the blood pressure is low or toolow level of salts in the blood. Renin signals to the blood vessels to be smaller and itsignals to the adrenal gland to make aldosterone which instruct the kidneys to savesalt, to drink more water and this activities increase the blood pressure to benormalized
